I dreamt of him uttering those three magical words to me.

The words that would've launched me across the universe to be with him.

The words that would've persuaded me to be brave and stand by him.

The words that would've made me sacrifice everything

to love him loudly and proudly with all my heart.

He never said them to me.

He never let the words pass his lips.

He never joked about it.

Not accidentally as he felt embarrassed yet relieved for saying it.

Not foolishly as he felt overwhelmed with love towards me.

Not weakly as he begged me to stay with him.

He never loved me.
